Riorin Higgsbury and?
Some people start out with the title of their book. Others change it multiple times throughout the writing process. Others let their publisher choose the name of their book. Me?
No clue. Over 80,000 words in and I still am unsure. This is the start to a series, and so I need to have a series name in obviously, but I've no idea what to name the series.
I cannot just use the main character Riorin's name as he will not be the main protagonist of every book, although I did make the decision, after much consideration, to name the ones where he is the protagonist Riorin Higgsbury and -Insert subject here-. But I recently changed that instead to make it Riorin Higgsbury -various-. I feel it'll make it easier to make different titles and differentiate from other books like Harry Potter and Percy Jackson's titles.
An example could be:
Riorin Higgsbury rises
Riorin Higgsbury vs the realm (Scott Pilgrim rules.)
Riorin Higgsbury's last stand
Riorin Higgsbury and the seven deadly trials
Riorin Higgsbury sails the three seas
Riorin Higgsbuy's greatest moment
Riorin Higgsbury destroys the galaxy
Ones like those. I may or may not eventually use some of these for his books, it could easily go either way. Although I will admit I probably won't use Riorin Higgsbury destroys the galaxy. I would say I'll most likely choose Riorin Higgsbury greatest moment, if any. It is quite a tough choice.
But I need to work on what will be present in the entire series, such as the world name or... honestly I don't know what else. My name will be on every book of course but... is that recognizable enough? I need a realm name. I need a distinctive name. This honestly may be the toughest part of writing my book yet, man I hope I find a good one...
